Vit Kopriva will target a first tour-level win on hardcourt in over a year and just the third of his career when he meets fellow clay specialist Daniel Elahi Galan.
This will be their first encounter on this surface after Galan won comfortably on the dirt in Gstaad last year, while Kopriva prevailed in a tight qualifier in Rome in 2023.
Galan is the underdog at 134 in the world but the Colombian does have a greater pedigree on a hard court overall.
This is a tough one to predict as world number 80 Kopriva is having the better year and Galan has just one victory at this level in 2025.
