Daniel Altmaier vs Zizou Bergs prediction

Daniel Altmaier continued his strong recent form as he comfortably got past Aleksandar Kovacevic in the first-round of the Eastbourne Open. The German, who beat former world number one Daniil Medvedev on his way to the semi-finals of the Halle Open last week, did not concede a break point and hammered 17 aces as he won 6-4 7-6 (4). 

He will now face Zizou Bergs for a place in the last eight of the tournament. The Belgian ended a four-match losing run in round one as he beat Jaume Munar in straight sets. Bergs held serve throughout and faced just one break point as he won 6-2 6-4 after just an hour and 20 minutes.

This will be their first ATP meeting, though Altmaier did beat Bergs at a Challenger event three years ago. The German seems to be thriving under new coach Dustin Brown during this grass court season, and if he continues to serve well, he will be difficult to stop.
