Jannik Sinner arrives in Shanghai on the back of a title triumph in Beijing.

The world number two swept aside Learner Tien to claim his third title of the year. 

The Italian has had little time to savour it with a third meeting with Daniel Altmaier next on his agenda.

Interestingly, the head-to-head is tied at 1-1 with both players winning a five-setter at a Grand Slam. 

Altmaier won at Roland-Garros two years ago, but we all know Sinner is a different beast nowadays and although the German may make life difficult, it’s unlikely he will spring the surprise on a hardcourt.
