Daniel Altmaier vs Ignacio Buse prediction

Daniel Altmaier reached the next stage of the Winston-Salem Open after a straight sets win over Francisco Comesana. The German dominated the first set but was pushed in the second, with Comesana serving to level the match at 5-4 up. Altmaier would break back and go on to clinch victory in the subsequent tiebreak, winning 6-1 7-6 (6).

He now takes on Ignacio Buse for a place in the quarter-finals. Buse beat Adam Walton in the previous round. They had faced each other just 10 days earlier in Cincinnati, with Walton winning on that occasion, but Buse exacted revenge with a three set victory. The Peruvian did serve for the match at 5-4 up in the second, but Walton won four games in a row to level proceedings. Nevertheless, Buse regrouped to win 6-2 5-7 6-3.

This is their first ATP Tour meeting, but Buse did win their only previous match on the Challenger Tour last year in Cancun. There is little to separate the pair in this one.
