Felix Auger-Aliassime will need to secure a career first to reach the second round in Hamburg. 

The Canadian has been beaten by Daniel Altmaier in their two previous meetings and has failed to snare a set. 

Indeed, it was the German who came out on top 7-6 6-3 in Monte Carlo recently and he arrives in Hamburg on the back of a semi-final push in Turin.
