Daniel Altmaier vs Daniil Medvedev prediction
Daniel Altmaier continued his fine run in Halle as he came from a set down to beat 2022 champion Hubert Hurkacz in the round-of-16. The German, who beat Nikoloz Basilashvili in round one, broke in the 11th game of the decider and served it out to win 3-6 6-3 7-5. He will now face Daniil Medvedev in the last eight.
Medvedev defeated Terence Atmane in straight sets to advance. The former world number one began his campaign in Halle with a win over Tomas Martin Etcheverry and he made a great start here as he broke right at the start of the match. The 2021 US Open champion saved all five break points on offer as he won 6-4 6-4 after just an hour and 25 minutes. Medvedev won 90% of his first serve points and will now be aiming to reach a third semi-final at the event.
Medvedev has looked comfortable so far this week, and he will be seen as a heavy favourite to win against Altmaier.
