Dane Sweeney is set to compete in his second Australian Open after qualifying for the main draw. He dropped just the one set from his three matches. He takes on Gael Monfils in round one. The 39-year-old confirmed that 2026 will be his last on tour, and he will be competing at the Australian Open for the final time, having made his Grand Slam debut in Melbourne back in 2005. He began his season in Auckland as the defending champion but lost to Fabian Marozsan in round one despite taking the first set.
