Damir Dzumhur looked on course for the second-round at Wimbledon as he was a set and a break up against home favourite Arthur Fery. However, the Bosnian would soon lose control of the match as Fery went on to win in four sets, with the wildcard progressing all the way to the semi-finals. Dzumhur now returns to clay, a surface on which he has enjoyed most of his success. However, he has just one quarter-final appearance all season, and that was at the Bucharest Open back in April. Dzumhur progressed to the semi-finals in Umag last year.
He will face Henrique Rocha in the first-round. The Portuguese failed to qualify for Wimbledon after a three set defeat in the first stage to Nicolas Mejia. Rocha is searching for his first tour-level win of the campaign, but he has won two Challenger titles this year.
Despite his experience, Dzumhur has not been convincing this season, and he could be tested by Rocha in the opening round of this event.
