Cronulla Sharks vs Sydney Roosters prediction
The Cronulla Sharks (9th) climbed back into the winner's circle with a solid 24-12 victory over the Dolphins last round. Their form has been patchy with only two wins out of five and the biggest knock on their title chances continues to be their ability to defeat sides above them on the ladder.
The Sydney Roosters (8th) were also back to winning ways after a hard-fought 31-24 victory over the St George Illawarra Dragons. Their recent form of three wins in five has seen them fight back into the top eight.
The Sharks Ronaldo Mulitalo has scored a try in five consecutive matches against the Roosters.
For the Roosters, James Tedesco remains the heart of their attack, leading his team with an impressive 3,329 all-run metres and 113 tackle breaks. He too loves playing against this week’s opponents, with tries in three of his past six matches.
The Roosters have a dominant record over the Sharks, leading the all-time count 67-40. They continued this trend in Round 12 this year with a 42-16 demolition win on the Central Coast.
The Roosters' recent winning form and their comprehensive victory over the Sharks earlier in the season give them a psychological edge. However, the Sharks are a formidable opponent at home and will be desperate for the win.
