Zimbabwe have every reason to be confident going into this first Test against West Indies. Having turned their fortunes around under coach Dave Houghton in white ball cricket, they’ll be hoping to do exactly the same in the red ball game, starting here. Former England Test player Gary Ballance will make his red ball debut for Zimbabwe and should provide a healthy dose of runs for the hosts. West Indies boast plenty of experience within their side through the likes of Kemar Roach and Jason Holder to name two top players. However, their batting has plenty to prove in Test match cricket and away from home, you can’t rule out a potential Windies collapse. When you take into account that home advantage, not to mention the feel-good factor around Zimbabwe at present, backing them via the double chance market to either draw or win this first Test may prove a shrewd play.
