Whilst five of Yorkshire’s seven County Championship fixtures so far this season have ended in draws, this fixture taking place in Scarborough rather than Headingley increases the likelihood of a result. The last 15 first class games to be played at North Marine Road have seen a winner and with the expectation that the pitch will prove bowler friendly, this is likely to suit Surrey. Yorkshire remain without key bowler Matt Fisher and won’t have an overseas fast bowler either, which may well cost them. Surrey look the more rounded unit as a whole and they have to be favoured in this one.
