THE PREDICTION
It has been quite the turnaround for Surrey, who now top the South Group after winning their last four Vitality Blast games, most recently beating Middlesex at Lord’s to secure a London derby double in this year’s competition. Sussex Sharks however, suffered a surprise defeat at home to Essex Eagles on Monday and look a weaker side having lost England T20 international bowler Chris Jordan to IPL duty. With batsman Phil Salt with the England limited overs side and injury concerns over fast bowler Tymal Mills, cracks are starting to emerge in the Sharks’ line-up and Surrey should capitalise with a fifth straight victory here to keep hold of their place at the top of the group.
