THE PREDICTION
Glamorgan were triumphant in their first home T20 Blast fixture of the season against Essex Eagles this past Thursday and Sophia Gardens will be buzzing ahead of this game. The match has been brought forward ahead of Wales’ crucial World Cup qualifier against Ukraine (read our preview for that here) and another big crowd is expected at Sophia Gardens, which should benefit the hosts. Surrey though, provide extremely stiff opposition when taking into account their options with both bat and ball. International quality is rampant among Surrey’s entire team and Glamorgan will have to be at their best. However, the Welsh County know their own ground and the dimensions of what is a fairly big outfield which can help them in terms of when to attack with a good mix of power and touch within their batting line-up. Provided they maintain their level of performance shown against Essex at Sophia Gardens, then Glamorgan may just do enough to force what would be an excellent win.
