THE PREDICTION
On paper, Essex Eagles will likely enter this match as favourites and rightly so having won all three of their T20 Blast home games so far, particularly as they face a Sussex Sharks side on the back of arguably the worst defeat in their T20 cricketing history, having dramatically collapsed from 118/2 to 141 all out chasing 146 to win, a showing captain Ravi Bopara described on live TV as one of the worst performances he has seen in over 400 T20 appearances. However, the Sharks will come to Chelmsford with a big point to prove and most crucially, are expected to be boosted by the presence of two world class cricketers. Pakistan wicket-keeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan and Afghanistan spin-bowler Rashid Khan are expected to be available for Sussex, the latter on the back of an IPL winning campaign with Gujarat Titans.
