Essex Eagles remain in a very promising position in terms of securing a place in the quarter-finals, but face the daunting task of topping South Group leaders Surrey. Although Essex boasts home advantage, they face a side who have won five of their last six T20 Blast fixtures at Chelmsford and contain a number of batters capable of sending the ball out of what is a small ground, multiple times.
