Kent Spitfires come into this match with all the momentum and form in their favour. They’ve won their last six T20 Blast fixtures and are also off the back of a rare victory in the County Championship. It’s hard to see them slipping up as they continue to roar along like a freight train towards knockout qualification. Expect the Spitfires to wind up too strong for Sussex Sharks and make it seven Blast wins in a row, leaving qualification in their hands heading into the final round of fixtures.

SURREY vs SOMERSET
THE PREDICTION
Somerset have already secured their place in the quarter-finals with a home draw to boot. Surrey meanwhile, still have work to do but playing an opponent who have nothing but winning momentum at stake should benefit them. The break from T20 cricket has likely done Surrey a favour after their stunning loss at the hands of London rivals Middlesex and they are likely to come out of the traps flying here. Back Surrey to get the better of Somerset, as they did at Taunton.

ESSEX EAGLES vs MIDDLESEX
THE PREDICTION
Three consecutive defeats for Essex Eagles has taken knockout qualification out of their hands and another loss here would likely end any lingering hopes of finishing in the top four of the South Group. However, Middlesex sit bottom of the table and on a small ground at Chelmsford, their bowling attack is likely to come under heavy punishment, as it has throughout the group stage. This should ultimately see Essex Eagles get the better of Middlesex over the course of this encounter.

HAMPSHIRE HAWKS vs GLAMORGAN
THE PREDICTION
Hampshire Hawks know that they cannot afford a single slip up if they want to seal a place in the quarter-finals with two home matches left to play in the group stage. The first of those comes against Glamorgan, who can technically still break into the top four, but their poor net-run-rate makes it nigh on impossible for them. Against an extremely strong Hampshire side who are proven specialists at triumphing under pressure, it looks a tall order for Glamorgan to get anything out of this one. Back victory for the Hawks at the Ageas Bowl.
