But a Yorkshire Vikings side in such good recent form may well prove a challenge too far for them to overcome. Consider backing the visitors to get the better of Derbyshire Falcons and pick up an important two points, keeping themselves in a prime position to qualify.

LANCASHIRE LIGHTNING vs DURHAM
THE PREDICTION
It feels like an absolute age since Lancashire Lightning played a T20 Blast fixture at Emirates Old Trafford, their last fixture at the ground being a win over Notts Outlaws. They return home here to face Durham and when you take into account how notoriously strong the Red Rose are at home, where they boast a 100% record so far in the Blast this season, any outcome other than victory for Liam Livingstone’s side in this one would be a surprise.

LEICESTERSHIRE FOXES vs WORCESTERSHIRE RAPIDS
THE PREDICTION
Worcestershire Rapids were recently dealt a huge blow with the news that New Zealand all-rounder Michael Bracewell will miss the rest of the competition following a bad Achilles injury which also rules him out of the upcoming Cricket World Cup later in the year. This may well have a particularly adverse effect on the Rapids’ batting which doesn’t bode well against a Leicestershire side capable of spinning them into submission with the ball and backing the Foxes to win may wind up being a shrewd move.

NORTHAMPTONSHIRE STEELBACKS vs NOTTS OUTLAWS
THE PREDICTION
Whilst Northamptonshire Steelbacks are no doubt a dangerous opponent to play, especially on their own ground. But they don’t possess the world-class point of difference with the ball that Notts Outlaws do in Shaheen Afridi. They also don’t contain the depth of batting down the order compared to their opponents. Notts Outlaws appear a significantly better all-round side and have to be favoured here.
