In recent years, the Lancashire Lightning have been much the better side both at Old Trafford and Headingley but this year appears different. The two sides are separated by three points with the Vikings on the verge of qualifying and the Lightning needing two win as many, if not all, of their remaining matches after some extremely poor form without their England selected players in Liam Livingstone and Jos Buttler.

Both sides have lost players due to England international duty. Yorkshire have had to say goodbye to Malan, Root, Bairstow, Willey and Rashid whilst Lancs lost the aforementioned batting duo alongside Saqib Mahmood due to injury. The Vikings have made 200+ scores a regular thing at home whilst the Lightning are yet to hit 200. Yorkshire are the favourites as they look to secure a place in the quarter-final stages.
