THE LOWDOWN
The Worcestershire Rapids come into this on the back of a victory over Durham which ended a run of four matches without a win. The Rapids have not necessarily been prolific or taken that many wickets throughout the competition. Their leading run-scorer, Jake Libby, has only just ticked over 200 runs in that win against Durham whilst Charlie Morris has taken just ten wickets as leading wicket-taker. They come up against a Leicestershire Foxes side that have been excellent in recent matches with a thumping victory over Yorkshire to make it three consecutive wins after a winless start to the Blast season.
THE PREDICTION
Despite Worcestershire Rapids’ win over Durham on Friday, they will come into this as the underdogs purely because of Leicestershire Foxes’ run of form. The excellent batting of Scott Steel, Josh Inglis and Arron Lilley has been complimented by a sharing of the wickets between several players with five players having picked up seven or more wickets. The Foxes will come into this as the slight favourites.
