THE LOWDOWN
Worcestershire Rapids come into this on the back of three defeats and an abandonment in their last four matches; two of those defeats were absolute hammerings by Notts Outlaws and Yorkshire Vikings. No player has scored 170 or more runs whilst their leading wicket taker has only seven in an underwhelming campaign so far. They come up against a Durham team that have been very impressive but fell to a shock nine-wicket defeat at home to the Northamptonshire Steelbacks on Wednesday despite being able to use Ben Stokes. Stokes has batted at three in both of his Blast matches and he will remain available for this one.
THE PREDICTION
Despite that heavy defeat to Northants earlier in the week, Durham remain one of the stronger sides in the competition. A top-order of Clark, Bedingham, Stokes and Bancroft with the excellent Brydon Carse in attack should give Durham a chance in any match. They are coming up against an out-of-sorts Worcestershire that haven’t posed many problems to teams in recent matches so this one should be an away win.
