The Sussex Sharks come into this on the back of three matches without a result due to the inclement British weather. Prior to their run of no cricket, they had won three out of three with an impressive unit in both batting and bowling. A top-order of Phil Salt, Luke Wright, Ravi Bopara and Travis Head will be slightly let down by a weakened bowling attack as Chris Jordan and George Garton are on international duty with England - Garton should remain available for this match, though. They come up against a Gloucestershire side that are also in impressive form following their thumping victory over Glamorgan on Thursday night with New Zealand overseas batsman Glenn Phillips striking 94 not out as Gloucester posted over 200 for the first time this season.
THE PREDICTION
Both sides are in strong form and both sides have quality depth in both departments however, as mentioned, the loss of Jordan for Sussex does ever so slightly weaken them. Gloucestershire come in with the unique all-rounder qualities of Benny Howell in exceptional form with bat and ball and, their victory on Thursday, will likely give them such a confidence booster it might give then an edge ahead of this one.
