No result at Surrey after an even opening five overs followed up by a completely rained off match at home to Somerset has helped Sussex continue their unbeaten start to the Blast campaign with the 16 year-old leg-spinner Archie Lenham taking lots of headlines. They come up against a Glamorgan team that have been regularly supported by Australia’s Marnus Labuschagne who is nearing 300 runs for the competition. They have picked up two victories in their six matches so far and a highest score of just 175 will be a concern for a side heavily reliant on the aforementioned Labuschagne.
THE PREDICTION
The last thing an out-of-sorts and low-scoring batting lineup needs is to face a bowling attack that consists of Tymal Mills, Chris Jordan, George Garton, David Wiese and the 16 year-old Archie Lenham that has burst onto the county scene in this season’s blast. The Sharks will be confident of restricting Glamorgan regardless of whether they are setting the total or chasing it and, with a batting lineup that begins with Phil Salt, Luke Wright, Travis Head and Ravi Bopara; they should be more than confident of victory.
