A seismic South West tussle is on the horizon here with both counties having enjoyed successful South Group campaigns so far. Somerset and Gloucestershire have each assembled strong squads in the 20 over format with their respective New Zealand overseas stars shining in particular. The battle between Somerset opener Devon Conway and Gloucestershire middle order blast Glenn Phillips could well prove the key battle as to deciding the outcome of this game. The absence of captain Lewis Gregory for Somerset however, is a huge blow after the all-rounder was called up for England’s T20i series against Pakistan and this may just give the visitors the edge, helping Gloucestershire ultimately emerge victorious in what should be a cracking encounter.
