Meghalaya fell to a surprise six wicket loss vs Manipur in their opening match of the competition, after collapsing to 62 all out in a match reduced to 13 overs aside. Mizoram also tasted defeat in a rain reduced game, with their score of 47/3 in a five over aside contest, chased down by Sikkim without losing a wicket. The bowling of Mizoram disappointed, with all three bowlers utilised being hit for over ten runs an over without picking up a wicket. Despite being so early in the competition, it already feels like Mizoram are a busted flush whenever influential batsman Taruwar Kohli doesn’t make a significant score and if Meghalaya can get Kohli out cheaply here, they should go on to win the match.
