Meghalaya won three of their seven matches last season which they will look to build on and they have been handed a favourable opening match as they face Manipur who lost all six of their games. The visitors are well out of their depth at this level and while all-rounder Kangabam Singh has some potential and he did manage a fifty last season, they are otherwise short of quality and depth. He was their highest runscorer with just 65 total runs and 55 of those came in one game to give the extent of how weak they are. Meghalaya on the other hand have much more quality in their ranks and they should coast to a comfortable opening win here.
