THE PREDICTION

Karnataka bounced back from their heavy loss to Punjab as they held off a valiant run chase from Tripura in their latest contest. Having posted 167/5 which was largely thanks to Devdutt Padikkal - who was agonisingly close to posting a century - as he finished on 99* but his efforts proved to be enough for his side as they won by ten runs. They now face Railways who come into this on the back of their first loss of the tournament after they were torn apart by a devastating performance from Punjab. They were hammered by 117 runs with Punjab skittling them for just 83 runs having amassed 200/4. It will take a big effort to respond to that defeat and while they are capable of doing so, Karnataka can get the better of them in this one.
