THE PREDICTION
Jammu & Kashmir and Tripura were both beaten in their opening match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy but for the former, there were a lot of worrying signs in their defeat to Karnataka. They lost regular wickets and were bowled for just 107 as they chased 151 for the win and they will need to produce a lot more quality with the bat in this contest. Tripura on the other hand were narrowly beaten by Railways, despite posting 170/3. Milind Kumar led the way with 61* from 40 but that knock proved to be in vain as their opponents reached their target with three balls to spare. Despite that loss, they showed enough to suggest they can respond here and a similar effort with the bat should see Tripura earn their first win of the tournament.
