THE PREDICTION
Delhi come into this match off the back of a six-wicket defeat to Kerala in a high scoring encounter between the top two sides in Group E. Having surrendered top spot in the group as a result, they face Haryana who now sit above Delhi themselves after securing their third straight victory in the competition last time out against Mumbai. Haryana’s success so far in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy has been built on restricting their opponents with the bat, utilising the likes of Rahul Tewatia’s skill with the ball before chasing their target down in the second innings and they have not yet batted first in a group stage match. Delhi however, with the likes of Indian internal Shikhar Dhawan starting to find form are expected to react strongly to their last defeat and if Dhawan fires here, then Delhi should prove too strong for Haryana.
