Baroda met Uttarakhand in last year’s edition of this competition and beat them by 33 runs after posting a mammoth 201/4 and they topped the group ahead of eventual champions Karnataka after beating them in the group stage too. They fell short in the Super League phase by losing out on a place in the knockout phase due to their poor net run rate but they will be confident of going further this time around.
