Baroda know that victory vs Maharashtra will see them all but through to the knockout stage with four wins from four Group C matches. Their success has come largely due to their excellence with the ball, having won their first match by five runs following some excellent death bowling and this was followed up by two successive games in which they bowled their opponents out for 109 and 90 respectively. For Maharashtra, their hopes rely mainly on the shoulders of batting all-rounder and former Indian international Kedar Jadhav, who has been in fine form so far in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
