KARACHI KINGS
- Karachi Kings failed to build on their surprise win over Multan Sultans, losing to Peshawar Zalmi by 24 runs which leaves them still on four points and inside the bottom two.
- Their bowlers were unable to replicate their performance against Multan, conceding 197/5 this time round and whilst Imad Wasim showed resistance with an unbeaten 57, it wasn’t enough.
THE PREDICTION
The big worry from a Karachi Kings point of view is that their triumph against Multan Sultans does feel like a false dawn right now and against a smarting Islamabad United, who are out to put things right following their collapse vs Lahore, things are unlikely to get better for Karachi. A significantly better showing is likely from the Islamabad batters whether they are setting or chasing a target and against a Karachi bowling unit who have under-performed too often over the course of the competition so far, the expectation is that Islamabad will do enough to claim victory here.
