THE PREDICTION
Worcestershire Rapids were beaten fairly comfortably in their opening match by Yorkshire Vikings and things don’t get any easier for them as they travel away once again, this time to Trent Bridge for a showdown with heavily fancied Notts Outlaws. Dan Christian returns to captain the side which maintains plenty of old stalwarts like Samit Patel, Matt Carter and Steven Mullaney who have all won this competition together twice for the Outlaws in 2017 and 2020 as well as making multiple finals days. Add that to the power of Alex Hales at the top of the order and it’s easy to see why Notts are likely in for a good campaign once again. It’s difficult to see the Rapids being able to compete without the services of Moeen Ali, who has taken a week’s rest following the IPL and Notts Outlaws should emerge victorious in front of their own fans.
