THE PREDICTION
Gloucestershire slipped to a six-wicket defeat last time out against Yorkshire and things don’t get any easier for them as they now travel to Emirates Old Trafford for a clash with Lancashire. The Red Rose underlined their vast potential for the season ahead by thrashing Kent in their opening Division One encounter and they are expected to dominate once again in this one. Lancashire’s already excellent bowling attack is expected to be strengthen further by the presence of Jimmy Anderson and/or Saqib Mahmood and provided that the batters can back up the efforts of their bowlers as they did so well against Kent with a large first innings score of 506, then the hosts are expected to triumph at home.
