THE PREDICTION
Kent accrued a respectable draw against rivals Essex at Chelmsford to open their Division One account on a pitch which offered nothing for bowlers, but the draw came at a cost as Kent lost the services of batter Joe Denly, who suffered a hamstring injury in the field which will likely rule him out for the foreseeable future.
