THE TEAM NEWS
WEST INDIES
- West Indies were denied the chance to level this four-match series due to bad weather, with only 1.2 overs of the third T20i possible before the heavens opened, bringing a very early end to the contest.
- After being forced to retire hurt in the second T20i due to stomach cramps, opener Evin Lewis did not feature in the following match and the likelihood is that he will miss out again here as could fellow opener Lendl Simmons.
- The Windies were however, afforded a welcome boost by the return of destructive all-rounder Andre Russell to their side and the notorious power hitter adds some serious depth to the batting of the home team.
PAKISTAN
- Despite only managing to play one completed match so far, Pakistan cannot lose this four-match T20i series and have an opportunity here to crown themselves the overall winners if they can come out on top here.
- The tourists will be hoping to discover whether their misfiring middle order can step up with the bat and provide crucial runs, rather than consistently relying on key duo Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam for runs.
- One player Pakistan had hoped could fill the void was 22-year-old Azam Khan, however the blow he suffered to the head in training that has kept him out of the last two T20i's, although he may be cleared to feature in this match.
THE PREDICTION
A rain ravaged series comes to a conclusion here with West Indies looking to salvage parity and Pakistan hoping to secure an away series win against the reigning T20i World Cup winners. The spin-bowling options of the tourists was key to their success in the only completed match of the four-match series so far and Pakistan will be once again hoping they put the squeeze on the Windies batters. However, the hosts boast an incredibly deep batting order which has been strengthened further by the return of Russell and the sheer power and depth possessed by the hosts with the willow should ensure that they pull through here to force a level series.
