South Africa never got the opportunity to get out onto the pitch in Kingsmead to face India in the first T20i due to the rain, so the Proteas will try again here in Gqeberha. Aiden Markram captains the hosts with regular skipper Temba Bavuma not playing, whilst Quinton de Kock is away playing for Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League.

Captain for this series, Suryakumar Yadav will hope to get the chance to lead out India in the second T20i after Sunday’s game was washed out. He skippers the tourists in the absence of both Rohit Sharma (rested) and Hardik Pandya (injury).
