- West Indies will have been delighted with how well they went about their run chase of 241, not letting a spate of quick wickets during the middle overs affect them following an opening partnership of 120 and ultimately reaching their target with 1.5 overs to spare.
- Opening the batting, Shai Hope anchored the run chase superbly with a magnificent 119 not out, whilst Shamarh Brooks and Brandon King both contributed significantly with half centuries.
THE PREDICTION
Netherlands proved during the first ODI that their batting is capable of standing up to the bowling of West Indies. However, their bowling did not pose enough of a wicket-taking threat to the visiting batters, apart from the 24th over when Logan van Beek picked up two scalps. On what should be another good batting track, the West Indies’ top order are once again expected to accumulate a significant number of runs and with that in mind, back the Windies to pick up a second victory.
