THE TEAM NEWS
ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE
- Royal Challengers Bangalore have made a good start to the 2020 IPL with three wins from their opening four games and their victory over Rajashan Royals on Saturday was their most complete display so far as they won by an impressive eight wickets.
- The biggest positive from that game was the excellent knock from skipper Virat Kohli who hit an unbeaten 72 from 53 balls to guide his side to victory while talented youngster Devdutt Padikkal hit his third half century in four games and remains one of the revelations in the tournament.
- They will surely go with the same set of players for this game following that impressive win on Saturday and Isuru Udana and Adam Zampa are set to keep their places in the bowling attack unless they consider bringing Dale Steyn back in.
DELHI CAPITALS
- Delhi Capitals picked up their third win in four matches on Saturday as their 228/4 proved 18 runs too many for Kolkata Knight Riders and that win will give them another major boost in confidence.
- The balance in the team remains ideal and they were boosted by the return to fitness of Ravi Ashwin on Saturday and there is every chance that they will name the same eleven once again here.
- While the batting stole the headlines, they still need to bowl well despite conceding over 200 runs and South African duo Rabada and Nortje were decisive once again as they form arguably the in-form bowling attack in the tournament right now.
THE PREDICTION
Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals are both coming off excellent victories at the weekend and have won three of their opening four games so confidence is high within the two camps. Delhi Capitals have great balance within their side as they have an elite bowling unit to back up their strong batting line-up. The same cannot quite be said for RCB but their bowlers are playing their part. This will be a major test for RCB and whether their batsmen can produce against Rabada, Nortje and company. There is little difference in form and the two sides on paper but the edge goes to the Capitals and their elite bowling attack.
