THE PREDICTION
The pressure is firmly on Rajasthan Royals here as they have only won three of their eight matches so far and simply have too many under-performing players in their ranks. It is no surprise that their best performances and victories have come when star man Steve Smith has contributed with the bat and their dismal form has coincided with his struggles. Unless they can get him firing again, it will only serve to add more pressure on to their other batsmen. Similarly with their bowling attack, they desperately need more bowlers to step up and support Jofra Archer who has been sensational but not enough of the supporting cast are contributing. They will have to improve if they are to beat Virat Kohli’s RCB side here. They have already hammered the Royals once IPL 2020 by eight wickets and they will be confident of bouncing back after defeat against Kings XI Punjab. Compared to the Royals, they do have key men in good form with Finch, Kohli and De Villiers all looking in decent nick with the bat while Chris Morris is looking effective at the death. They just have more players in form here and they have to be favoured to do the double over the struggling Royals.
