THE PREDICTION
Durham are among the favourites to gain promotion from Division Two this season, but won’t have their own way here against a Glamorgan side who boasts two quality overseas Australian players in bowler Michael Neser and number one ranked Test batter Marnus Labuschagne. However, Durham have retained the services of David Bedingham, who starred with the bat in red ball cricket last summer and with him underpinning the top order, Scott Borthwick’s side have the capabilities of accruing big first innings runs, which Glamorgan may struggle to achieve without Labuschagne in this first round of fixtures. Combine that with the presence of the evergreen Chris Rushworth alongside paceman Ben Raine and Durham are well worth backing to come out on top in this one.
