Durham’s infuriating wait for a first victory this season went on at New Road most recently, after Worcestershire batted out most of day four to survive against Scott Borthwick’s men. However, that match will be forever known for the brutality of Ben Stokes, England’s new Test captain smashing 161 from just 88 balls in his first appearance of the season including a whopping 17 sixes, which broke the record of most maximums scored in a first-class innings in England. Durham fans will be hoping that Stokes can put on a show for them at The Riverside against Glamorgan, who defeated Leicestershire last time out to move up to second-place in Division Two. No doubt the hosts contain a strong side on paper, particularly within the batting unit. However, their struggles to take 20 wickets have stunted them so far this year and it would be no surprise if that continues here against the likes of Marnus Labuschagne. Therefore, a fifth draw involving Durham this season has to be favoured in this one.
