THE PREDICTION
Trinbago Knight Riders and St Lucia Kings clash just two days after their most recent encounter, a thriller that saw the Kings narrowly triumph by five runs. After being asked to bat first in that match, St Lucia posted 157/5 thanks largely to Tim David’s 43 from 32 balls with thee 4s and three 6s alongside Roston Chase’s 30 not out. Whilst they only managed to take three wickets, an economical performance from the St Lucia bowling unit and Chase in particular, saw them restrict Trinbago to just 152/3.
A strong response is expected here from the Knight Riders, who will likely prioritise more aggression in the powerplay in a bid to get themselves ahead of the game against an impressive Kings bowling attack. Trinbago’s first defeat in the competition saw them respond with a victory in their following game and it would be no surprise to see Kieron Pollard’s side bounce back from Sunday’s loss by overcoming St Lucia Kings this time round in what should prove another close encounter.
