THE PREDICTION

A huge effort from St Lucia Kings saw them overcome defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders by 24 runs to book their place in the Caribbean Premier League final, where they will face St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. Whilst the Kings had their batting largely to thank after racking up a winning score of 205/4 from their 20 overs, the Patriots bowled really well against Guyana Amazon Warriors on a flat pitch, taking regular wickets and ultimately restricting them to 178/9, which Dwayne Bravo’s side chased down in 17.5 overs.

The final is set to prove an intriguing battle with an extremely strong St Lucia Kings batting line-up coming up against a bowling unit riding the crest of a wave. In a match of this magnitude, a good captain makes all the difference and at 37-years-old, Bravo knows exactly what it takes to win on occasions such as this. The old saying, batters win games, but bowlers win titles could well be proven correct here and whilst a tight encounter is expected, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots appear to have a slightly superior all-round unit. Chris Gayle and Evin Lewis provide the firepower at the top of the order and they may play a decisive part once again, so back the Patriots to emerge triumphant and lift their first Caribbean Premier League trophy.
