THE PREDICTION

A gripping contest last time out in the Caribbean Premier League saw St Kitts and Nevis Patriots maintain their 100% record in dramatic fashion, beating Barbados Royals by two wickets with bowler Sheldon Cottrell the hero. Needing four wins to win, Cottrell smashed Ashley Nurse over long off for six runs to drag his side over the line. St Lucia Kings currently lie six points behind the Patriots in the table, having won two and lost two of their four games, most recently beating Guyana Amazon Warriors comfortably by 51 runs after bowling them out for just 98.

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots will have to be wary of the Kings’ bowling attack who certainly proved themselves against the Warriors, however in Dwayne Bravo’s side they face significantly tougher opposition. The momentum coursing through the Patriots line-up makes them a formidable force with a batting unit that can hit the ball a long way right down the order. St Lucia Kings don’t appear to boast as much depth down the order and when taking into account St Kitts and Nevis Patriots’ five-match winning streak, they have to be favoured once again here.
