A day after their thrilling super over victory following a tied match against Trinbago Knight Riders, Guyana Amazon Warriors are right back in Caribbean Premier League action against St Lucia Kings, who currently sit bottom of the table with just two points having won one and lost two of their three games played so far. The Warriors meanwhile, have an even record of two wins and two defeats from four matches.
Whilst they will have been delighted with the win, their contest with Trinbago will have surely taken a great deal out of Guyana from a physical perspective and with such hot conditions in the Caribbean, that may work against them here. Their bowling in particular could well be suffering with some fatigue, which doesn’t bode well considering that they have suffered from serious punishment earlier in the tournament, most notably conceding 255 runs against Jamaica Tallawahs.
