THE PREDICTION

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots have set the early pace in this year’s CPL, winning both of their opening games. After beating Barbados Royals on Friday, they followed that up with an eight-wicket victory the day after against Guyana Amazon Warriors by eight wickets. The two teams face off once again here, with their previous encounter a fairly comfortable affair for the Patriots, who chased down a target of 147 with seven balls remaining as openers Devon Thomas and Evin Lewis put on a partnership of 113 for the first wicket, Thomas finishing with a score of 55 not out and Lewis 62.

An improved batting performance will be required by Guyana in this rematch and they are expected to accrue a higher score here with captain Nicholas Pooran potentially set to be moved up the order. However, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots boast a large amount of depth to their batting and when taking into account how comfortable their top order found it against Guyana’s bowling last time out, they have to be favoured to take the spoils once again here.
