After finishing runners-up in last year’s Caribbean Premier League, the rebranded St Lucia Kings will be hoping to go one better this time around, with a good start to the competition their priority. However, they are currently sweating over the condition of their captain Faf du Plessis, who missed the recently concluded men’s Hundred in England due to after-effects of the concussion he suffered during the PSL earlier in the year and it would be no surprise if the South Africa were to not feature in this match. The Kings have also made a splash in recruiting batter Tim David following his excellent recent form playing in England for Surrey and should provide them with some serious boundary ammunition. Jamaica Tallawahs may be without all-rounder Carlos Braithwaite, who has gone into quarantine after a fellow passenger on his fight to the Caribbean tested positive for Covid-19. Australian Chris Green has been brought into the Tallawahs’ squad as a replacement for Shakib Al Hasan.
