THE LOWDOWN

Surrey fell to an embarrassing innings defeat against Hampshire at Arundel to make it three defeats from three in the Bob Willis Trophy. They sit bottom of the South Group, whilst Kent sit third with a win, loss and now a draw after the weather denied them enough time out in the middle over the four days to force a result against Middlesex.

THE PREDICTION

It has been a red ball campaign to forget for Surrey and things don’t look like getting better anytime soon with the side continuing to be ravaged by England call-ups and injuries. Kent have bounced back strongly from defeat away at Essex in their first Bob Willis Trophy match. Since then they have won one and drawn one and look extremely potent with both bat and ball. With their hopes of topping the South Group still alive, Kent should beat Surrey comfortably here, providing they avoid complacency.
