ADELAIDE STRIKERS

• Adelaide Strikers recorded an impressive and important win as they hammered Brisbane Heat by 71 runs in their latest Big Bash League clash, largely thanks to the magic of Rashid Khan.
• Having posted 161/4, the Strikers were then able to skittle the Heat for just 90 runs as the Afghanistan spinner finished with excellent figures of 6-17 and he is likely to be key once again as his side go in search of just their fourth win of the competition.

PERTH SCORCHERS

• Perth Scorchers have enjoyed a brilliant tournament so far and they earned their tenth win from just 12 games as they proved to be far too good for Melbourne Stars in what was a solid showing with both bat and ball.
• Laurie Evans set the tone with a knock of 69 and was ably supported by skipper Ashton Turner who chipped in with 47* but it was Matthew Kelly’s efforts with the ball that secured the win as he took four wickets as the Scorchers limited the Stars to 149/9 in pursuit of a target of 197.

THE PREDICTION

Perth Scorchers remain the team to beat in the Big Bash League and they come into this clash sitting pretty at the top of the ladder with just two rounds of the round robin remaining. They have lost just two games in the competition so far and will be confident of another success as they take on Adelaide Strikers. Despite an impressive performance last time out, the Strikers face a much tougher task here and having already suffered a heavy loss to the Scorchers back in December, it would be a surprise if they were able to topple the leaders in this one.
