• Chattogram were the standout team in the group stage after winning a remarkable seven of their eight matches played so they will be hoping to earn a path directly into the final with a victory against Khulna here.
• They will be confidence of getting the win having beaten Khulna in both matches played so far and they will once again look to key men Liton Das, Soumya Sarkar and Mustafizur Rahman to inspire them.

GEMCON KHULNA

• Khulna come into this qualifier against Chattogram in below-par form having lost their last two games against Chattogram and Dhaka, and while they possess plenty of quality in their ranks, they have yet to real fire on all cylinders so far.
• They will likely open the bowling with Shakib Al Hasan once again as he took the wickets of both Liton Das and Soumya Sarkar in the last meeting between the two teams so he will look to make an impact once again here.
• The batting continues to be an issue and they desperately need their star internationals like Mahmudullah, Shakib and Imrul Kayes to find some form after poor tournaments up until this stage with the bat.

THE PREDICTION

All the form and momentum is with Chattogram coming into this qualifier to decide which team will move directly into the final of the Bangabandhu T20 Cup. Khulna have lost their last two games and despite adding legend Mashrafe Mortaza to their roster, that has failed to ignite their campaign. They have the star power to turn it on in a one-off game but Chattogram just have the clear edge in form that they simply have to be favoured. They have won both previous meetings in this edition of the cup and they can pick up another win here.
